What is required to be a volunteer?  

​

You are not required to have any specialist skills, qualifications or indeed any experience.  We only  look for specific qualities in our volunteers which are:

• Reliability

• Ability to relate to and empathise with young people and their aspirations

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially listening skills

• Ability to be non-judgemental, self-aware, patient, understanding, flexible, positive and supportive in all situations

• Ability to challenge own assumptions and negativity
